ZZ Top .... July 8, 1974 Schaefer Music Festival; New York, N.Y. Speed corrected by floydrocks. This tape was running way too fast, so I brought it down to a reasonable level. It's alot easier to listen to now. Nothing else was done to the original FLAC's uploaded by Jeff James (royglzep) except I renamed them and corrected the setlist. This has been up before on Dime but it isn't on the tracker at the moment. Thanks to Jeff for providing these originally! It has a constant hiss due to the machine it was recorded on, which may have been a reel to reel. However the musical performance of ZZ is fairly clear and easy to enjoy. It gives a really great insight as to what ZZ sounded like way back then. Someone should remaster this one & remove the hiss. Billy talks to the crowd a good bit and he goes into more detail about the song Precious and Grace and why it was written. Billy also goes into detail about who Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers was written about, which also just so happens to be about two women in Texas. Billy says that they used to party together and one went on to become a model for Vogue magazine and the other a photographer who photographed women. Note: This CD is one long track and needs to be split up ....
